Brian was the first one to see Jillian. She came in for her interview at his work and nervously sat by the door waiting to be called in. Needless to say, she got the job and more importantly was introduced to the love of her life. Over the next few months, they exchanged smiles and hellos but not much else. Brian struck up a conversation at a work happy hour and broke the ice. After that Jillian came to join Brian and his co-workers for lunches every so often. Fast forward to a year later, shared lunches were happening everyday and they were setting up happy hours with the co-worker friends just so they could have time with each other (an hour for lunch was clearly not enough). This went on for a while and finally over time they knew that there would be no one else in the world for each other and so we became "us".
